Christmas in La Paz:

Very nice weather with 74 degrees in the water, light breeze and beautiful  views.
El mercado crowded with loud people; colorful veggies and fruits, inviting shrimps, fish and lobsters, how pleasant!
We even found a young mexican guy who spoke perfect French!
El cafe at the marina had the most amazing food, simple yet delicious! and I am not talking about the Margarita...mind blowing!

Can't wait to go again...

Last leg of the trip: Cabo-La Paz

The team left anchorage around 9:00 PM and sailed under the stars to its next destination. They will stop in a small bay for lunch and to rest a little bit, then, around 1:00 AM, they will head to la Paz with an estimate time of arrival of 12:00PM noon on Monday.
They are currently motor sailing (engine+sails) strait into the a light wind, escorted by a whale...how cool is that?!

The Crew is returning to San Diego on Tuesday...we will post a few pictures next week.

And the result is....

1st in their category!!

well done Team!

Tuesday November 1St:

Sans Frontieres sailed down under spy with well established winds and arrived at Bahia Santa Maria on Monday, early morning. Since then they explored the bay, went for a 3 hour Hike to the top of the mountain to take pictures that will be posted as soon as they have an efficient internet connection.
Tonight is the Mexican reception in Santa Maria: fresh fish and Mexican food provided by the local people.
The Sailors have enjoyed warm waters and tropical weather but will pull anchor first thing tomorrow morning for the last leg of the Race: Bahia Santa Maria-Cabo San Lucas. Sans Frontieres seems to be in a good position in the race...stay tuned for the final score!

Saturday, Oct 29:

Sans Frontieres crew pulled anchor early to sail to their next destination. Unfortunately, the drowning of the satellite phone will make communication more difficult!

Now is the time to remind all sailors that it is very important to store your electronic devices in the waterproof bag to go to shore. Beaching the dinghy is always a little bit tricky and even the smallest wave on the wrong angle can put you in a soaking wet situation, resulting in the loss of your communication device (they don't like salty water)...

Stay tuned....
